Wuhlheide, Berlin, Germany
7th August 2011
Unheilig, Livingston, Mina Harker, Burn
It was a cold and gray summer evening, and although the Wuhlheide stage was sold out the day before, it was remarkable that at the second show the concert area was only three quarters full. UNHEILIG are one of the most successful German music bands, and since their album ‘Große Freiheit’ they are also known by a broader audience. They have arrived at the middle of the music society - that could be seen also at this day, cause most of the public was middle-aged and dressed colourful - the Gothic people was clear in minority.

Amphi Festival 2011 Day 2 Staatenhaus: Covenant, Kirlian Camera, Feindflug, Das Ich, In The Nursery, Clan Of Xymox, Diorama, Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio, Der Fluch
Staatenhaus on Sunday offered a very mixed line-up regarding musical styles. Amongst clearly handmade music like the one of IN THE NURSERY there was many stuff deeply rooted in the electronic like DIORAMA or COVENANT: But first thing attendees got to see thereon arrival was a doze of rocking inferno with DER FLUCH.

Amphi Festival 2011 Day2 Main Stage: Subway to Sally, Nitzer Ebb, Saltatio Mortis, Agonoize, De/Vision, Dreadful Shadows, Funkhausgruppe, She’s All That
The second day of Amphi festival welcomed us with a shitload of rain and honestly we thought of staying in the car the entire day instead of putting just one toe out in this mess. Fortunately, the weather god had mercy with us and told the rain to get lost now and sunshine cut through the clouds soon. Looked like a wonderful day with bands such as SHE’S ALL THAT, DREADFUL SHADOWS or DE/VISION.

Shadowplay Festival Day 2: Love Like Blood, A Split Second, Hocico, Absolute Body Control, Agonoize, The Beauty of Gemina, Solitary Experiments, Tying Tiffany, SAM, Lizard Smile, Mirexxx, Cruise[CTRL]
At 12.30, when the first band was supposed to start at the Peek-A-Boo Stage, the technicians were still working hard to build stage. The program thus started late again, leaving us some time socialise (and regret not having the chance of catching another hour of sleep). Luckily, today the organizers were able to make very swift transitions from one stage to another, so halfway of the event were more or less back to the original schedule again. Except for the headliner LOVE LIKE BLOOD, newer dark electro acts were mostly performing on the main stage and Peek-A-Boo stage had more old-school bands going on. This scheme was repeated on Sunday.
