Billy Idol
Age doesn’t matter – Sex, drugs and Rock ´n´ Roll are still alive! Do you know William Michael Albert Broad? No? It’s Billy ‘Fuckin’ Idol and he is back! This year he released a new album after a break of twelve years, which is called “Devil’s Playground” and started touring again. At his side was his old friend and guitar hero Steve Stevens, who wrote the soundtrack for the award winning movie “Top Gun” for which he received a Grammy; he also played with Michael Jackson (“Dirty Diana”) for example and put the finishing touches to the Idol songs. Now Billy Idol arrived in Düsseldorf, which was the last concert of a 10 months lasting tour. The show started at 20:00. No support was needed. Billy and the band were enough.

WaterFront, Rotterdam, The Netherlands
December 2nd 2005
Combichrist and Embolus
Another cold and wet night in the Netherlands, luckily some of us could shelter in the WaterFront in Rotterdam and dance to the beats of Embolus and Combichrist. With his new album out it was of course time for Combichrist to come and visit us again and make us dance to his beats once more.

Opeth and Burst
You can see from the mixture of people in the crowd that by now standard metalfans are not the only ones attracted to Opeths’ music anymore. This time I see a mixture of long haired, next to short haired progmetalfans and also quite a lot of older fans. I think this is where you can see a band has succefully made a name for themselves in the scene: when you see all different kinds of fans attending their shows.

T Paard, The Hague, The Netherlands
November 30th 2005
Apocalyptica
After playing at the Paradiso in Amsterdam the Sunday before, it was now time to hit the stage in The Hague. A freezing night, but luckily there were no lines outside. It seemed to be a quiet evening but the closer we got to the start of the show, the venue filled up more and more.

013, Tilburg, the Netherlands
December 7th 2005
Life of Agony & Green Lizard
Just another traffic jam packed day in the Netherlands, the endless boring roads full of cars can only be forgotten with a good glass of wine or one hell of a concert. Outside the cue was slowly decreasing, inside the venue was filling up with people who had all used up some more time than expected to get to Tilburg. Not because 013 is such a great venue (which it is by the way), but because that hell of a good concert would be provided by nothing less than Life of Agony.
