7th to 10th June 2019
Wave Gotik Treffen 2019 day 2 with Time & Space Society, Other Day, Omnimar, Grausame Töchter, Eggvn, Sanguis Et Cinis, Killus, Freakangel, Joachim Witt, Rituals Party
The second day started as usually way to early. Why don’t we just add a few more hours to the WGT days to get a little bit more of sleep? But there is so much to see, to discover and so many people to meet, so “sleep” is just sliding down on the “to do & to see list”. We got up at 10 am as our first thing to do on the bullet list was the visit at the Absintheria Sixtina in the city centre. To get there takes a bit if you are camping at the Agra area. But nothing that cannot be done with some caffeine in your veins.

Dead Kennedys - European Summer Tour 2019 - Special guests: Catholic Action
Wow, file this under historic gigs: The godfathers of American Punk Rock, DEAD KENNEDYS, were playing the Düsseldorf zakk for the first time in their four-decade history! THE DEAD KENNEDYS were formed in San Francisco, California back in 1978. They were among the first to bands to really test the authorities, provoking a debate about censorship in rock music, which earned them a heightened police presence at their concerts, and had them becoming a role model for the myriad of punk bands yet to come.

Rock am Ring Day 1 with reviews of Alice in Chains, The Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Behemoth and Arch Enemy
Where racing cars usually roar, Rock am Ring festival took place during the Whitsun weekend: The legendary music spectacle once again attracted about 85,000 fans to the Nürburgring. Around 80 bands announced their presence on the three stages in the Eifel from 7th to 9th June. The musicians usually perform alternately with the twin festival, Rock im Park in Nuremberg. Before that, many people checked their weather apps on their mobile phones over and over again because there was a notice that a storm would come up. But that definitely didn’t stopped the festival and the good mood.

Metalfest Pilsen with Amorphis, Hammerfall, Powerwolf, Beast In Black, Stratovarius, Amon Amarth, The 69 Eyes, Dee Snyder, Arch Enemy
The Metalfest in Pilsen takes place in an ancient amphitheatre in Pilsen since 2010. You will find yourself in a really unique location and decide if you want to rock with the crowd in the pit, sit on one of the benches further up or place your blanket on the slope. Wherever you may roam, the sound is always good and you have an excellent view of what is happening on stage. No festival can match Pilsen in these points.
