The time for the 28th Wave Gotik Treffen (WGT) has finally come and as always we’ve been all waiting impatiently for one of the most unique and special events of the Goth and Alternative Scene to happen. With over 220 artists, performances and events of all kinds WGT is offering a huge program for every taste and activity level. The unique organization and diversity make WGT incomparable to any other kinds of festivals.

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals
Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist BEN HARPER has returned with a new album in 2018. This Wednesday he presented the new album, ‘No Mercy In This Land’, with THE INNOCENT CRIMINALS at the Rockhal. After the successful concert in 2016, BEN HARPER & THE INNOCENT CRIMINALS are finally on tour again and made the Escher audience very happy on Wednesday evening. With some new songs but of course also the old hits in their luggage, the weekend mood was already underway!

Rock im Park Day 2 with reviews of Godsmack, Tenacious D and Slipknot
After day 1 ended with a rainy mess, the start of day 2 was a rather friendly one with clouds and sunny spells, although the temperatures had dropped a bit to 20 degrees Celsius max.

Rock im Park Day 1 with reviews of Trivium, Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, Die Ärzte
A week before, we received the good news by email: An accreditation for this year’s edition of ROCK IM PARK, the slightly smaller twin of storied festival behemoth ROCK AM RING. The arrival in Nuremberg and the check-in procedure on Friday early afternoon went surprisingly smooth. The weather was really warm and sunny, and everything boded well for a perfect festival start.
