Juliette & The Licks, WACO
In 2003, Juliette Lewis was founding the band JULIETTE & THE LICKS, known for loud guitars, up-tempo songs and her deep voice. After six years, the band was put on hiatus but finally now the band is back and on 26th April, Juliette and band were rocking a sold-out Bürgerhaus Stollwerck in Cologne, supported by UK based WACO.

Sophia
Mr. Robin Proper-Sheppard and his band SOPHIA were playing on a Sunday evening in Cologne. And even though it was spring, it more looked like winter with even a little snow. Somehow, the weather was kind of fitting to the mood the band is spreading with its songs.

Wolfmother & Electric Citizen
Grammy winners WOLFMOTHER are back with their new album ‘Victorious’, which was released on February 19th. The tracks ‘Victorious’ and ‘City Lights’ were already circulating for a while and show into which direction the Australians are heading. Mastermind Andrew Stockdale has recorded all instruments for a demo all by himself as in the early days before going into the studio with the band to work together intensively on the arrangements. The record is wild, full of energy and simply made for hot clubs, full concert halls and huge festival stages at the same time. Now the band returned to German stages and played an energetic show on Cologne.

A-ha & Marcel Brell
On short notice I was asked if I like to see A-HA in order to write a review about the show. How could I decline such a request as I finally had the chance to see such a great Synth Pop band with a career of three decades? And thus I was very much looking forward to this event.

Kasematten Festival 2016 Day 1 with Evi Vine, Still Patient?, Near Earth Orbit, Syntec, Wayne Hussey, Kirlian Camera
Taking place in a cave makes the quite young Kasematten Festival without any doubt a truly special event within the dark scene. In 2015, the festival took place for the very first time at the sandstone cave Langenstein in Halberstadt and about 1,000 folks had a great black celebration together. This year, the line-up once again was calling for a successful festival. Legendary Wayne Hussey, lead singer of THE MISSION and former guitarist of THE SISTER OF MERCY, was there on April 15, just to mention one of the fantastic artists.
