19th March 2016
Fields of the Nephilim & Frank the Baptist
If you had never been to the Essigfabrik in Cologne before, didn't bring a GPS, and suffer from a poor sense of direction (may it be chronic or due to over-excitement), it would have been no problem at all to find the rock club last Saturday night. You wouldn't spot that many broad-brimmed hats in one place on just another normal day and what's easier than to follow some heavy leather boots and long black coats floating in the evening breeze? The scent of patchouli would of course also direct a “Moonchild” to the right location. That evening, the place to be was the old-ish factory which used to produce vinegar; now, for almost 20 years the Essigfabrik with its white paint splintering at the ceiling above the stage has been a concert venue providing space for 1,200 music lovers to rock out. No wonder that there was a full house on March 19: Iconic cowboy Goth rockers FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM from Stevenage in Hertfordshire, England, were finally in town to grace the stage!

James Bay & Rukhsana Merrise
On that Tuesday there was a lot to experience in Munich: Beside of the SCORPIONS concert there was still the Champions League game of the FC Bavaria against Juventus Turin what made the journey with the public transportation a real adventure. I chose to see the first headliner concert of JAMES BAY in Germany on this evening though.

Scorpions & Beyond the Black
German Hard Rock has a famous name: SCORPIONS. The band was formed in 1965 and has been successful all over the world since then. In 2015, they released their eighteenth album and prepared for the “50th Anniversary World-Tour”. This year, the tour finally leads the SCORPIONS back to Germany and to the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund where I will see this legendary band on stage for the first time. An amazing thought, I must admit.

Philipp Dittberner & Milwalkie
It’s been a while since my last visit to the Skater’s Palace in Münster. I remember a nice venue for Rap concerts where I spent some splendid nights in the past. Today, German singer-songwriter PHILIPP DITTBERNER and his band hit the club stage. Although many shows are sold out, the Skater’s Palace is not. Still, the venue is crowded and people are waiting in front of the stage. Will PHILIPP DITTBERNER live up to their expectations?

Lebanon Hanover & undertheskin
It was about one hour to the official show start and the little atmospheric club was already fully packed. A lot of people still were waiting on the entrance and outside in hope to get occasional tickets. Totally sold-out venue! Some people arrived in Warsaw from different countries such as Belarus and Ukraine.
