Curtis Stigers
Curtis Stigers has one of these voices which you recognize under thousands. His talent is far beyond writing nice pop songs. He is deep into jazz and blues as well. So Bochum was now on his tour plan and we were looking forward which kind of music he will play.

Hard Rock Laager Festival 2016 Day 1: Borknagar (NOR), Cruachan (IRE), Blaze Bayley (UK), Goresoerd, Horricane, Nihilistikrypt, Taak, Abandoned Elysium, Cookies
All my friends are running to Tuska Festival in Helsinki, but I am in a car heading opposite way. Only 160 km away from Helsinki, or 80 km away from Tallinn, there is Hard Rock Laager Festival celebrating its 15th edition this year. It has been one hour in a car so we should be here... and seems we didn't miss the road as black crowd started to appear. Now, the most important is to conquer the tenting position. Rain is starting, so it will be the fastest tent building ever :)

Last festival day and on my way to the ground I already saw people putting up their tents, may be for leaving RockHarz just after the last headliners.

RockHarz Festival Day 3: Impressions, Nitrogods, Der Weg einer Freiheit, Coppelius, Axxis, Primordial, Kärbholz, Satyricon, Knorkator, Saltatio Mortis, Avantasia
Third festival day and in retrospect I think it was the best day. The weather was pretty perfect, an issue for other festivals in Germany some days before. I had the feeling the people reached the maximum of their condition celebrating a night with endless crowd surfers. Also I think this was the day with the highest amount of people in front of the stages, may be because many people came for only one day or for attending a band named KNORKATOR. But for me the day started with two bands from Germany, totally different but a big surprise.

RockHarz Festival Day 2: Impressions, Deadlock, Grand Magus, Illdisposed, Spiritual Beggars, Entombed A.D., Annihilator, Soilwork, Gamma Ray, ASP, Saxon
If you want to understand real pure Heavy Metal, straightforward, clear and simple - you have to be at RockHarz the second day. The afternoon was packed with the best representatives of this musical genre, mostly coming from Northern Europe, like DEADLOCK from Germany, GRAND MAGUS from Sweden, ILLDISPOSED from Denmark (Death Metal), SPIRITUAL BEGGARS from Sweden, ENTOMBED A.D. from Sweden (Death Metal), ANNIHILATOR from Canada (Thrash Metal) and SOILWORK from Sweden (Melodic-Death-Metal). It was a great pleasure listening and enjoying the energy and power of all of those performances. You could really feel the great enthusiasm each band was proud to deliver. People either relaxed in the warm and sunny afternoon, holding beers in their hands or just head-banging at the front of the stages.
