Alt-J

A warm summer day! Vacation time! Monday! Perfect for a concert! Although there is some low tide at the moment, there are still some top acts in the A. Yesterday night, electronic Soul and Folk band ALT-J took a quick break from their festival run and visited the sold-out Atelier.

The Soft Moon & Matteo Vallicelli

THE SOFT MOON is the project of Luis Vasquez. The Berlin-based musician from San Francisco released his fourth studio album, ‘Criminal’, on February 2, 2018, and was touring through five German cities. His music is hypnotic, psychedelic and sombre. With a lot of passion and emotion, Vasquez has been one of the best and most successful artists in this field for years with his experimental mix of Darkwave, Post-Punk and Krautrock.

Ministry - “Amerikkkant EU Tour” 2018 - Support: Converge & Grave Pleasures

This week’s Wednesday, MINISTRY were guest at the Täubchenthal Leipzig. Of course, there were also the support bands GRAVE PLEASURES and CONVERGE. The two great support bands had warmed up the audience in no time for the headliner of the evening. MINISTRY presented a very good mix of new songs and their old hits on stage. On a really hot day, the audience at the Täubchenthal got a hot concert. One of the chickens with the strange golden hairstyle got decent kicks from Uncle Al during the show. Maybe it just deserved the kicks?

Soulfly

Last week, a legend was guest at Beatpol in Dresden. The fans could experience Max Cavalera and his band SOULFLY live on stage. SOULFLY played that evening without any support band. As always in the Beatpol, the songs were presented to the audience with decent sound and light. The setlist was a good mix of older and newer songs. Of course, songs like ‘Prophecy’, ‘Mars’ and ‘Back to the primitive’ were not missing. The fans honored SOULFLY with a great mosh pit during the entire concert. It was as always a hot show at the Beatpol and a great concert evening where the fans got their money’s worth again.

Deep Purple - “The Long Goodbye Tour” - Special Guest: Axel Rudi Pell - Support: Navarone

Three years after the release of ‘Now What?!’ - one of the most successful outputs of their history - the Hard Rockers of DEEP PURPLE were added to “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” in 2016 and fixed their legendary status. In spring 2017, the “Mark VIII” line-up with Ian Gillan (vocals), Roger Glover (bass), Ian Paice (drums), Steve Morse (guitar) and Don Airey (keyboards) came out with a new album, which is called ‘Infinite’ and the band promoted the new songs with a very special video clip to ‘The Surprising’. The accompanying tour started with some glorious visits in good old Germany.
