In 2020, VNV NATION celebrated its 30 year anniversary and finally two years later, there was a proper celebration with a special event. They’ve put together a great line-up of bands for a one-off, open-air event on July 30th, 2022 at the Gelsenkirchen Amphitheater. Somehow it felt a bit like returning to the beloved and still missed Blackfield festival, when entering the holy ground of the arena. The weather was great and people in perfect festival mood.

Sleepers’ Guilt - “What Remained” Album Release - Support: Pleasing
After four years of intensive songwriting, SLEEPERS’ GUILT were pleased to present their second album ‘What Remained’ on June 3rd 2022 at the Rockhal in Belval, Luxembourg. Without being a concept album, ‘What Remained’ explores the end of humanity and takes the audience on a musical journey into the tides of fate. In a dystopic world, humanity is on the verge of extinction, and machines have taken over. Supporting this very special evening was the local math-rock band PLEASING. On this evening, the new album was played in its entirety followed by a second set that included songs from the last album. Even though unfortunately not so many people found their way to the Rockhal that evening, the audience still stayed in the hall during the show and watched the band perform their songs with full power and plenty of fun.

Ice Nine Kills & Spiritbox with support: InVisions
ICE NINE KILLS and SPIRITBOX shared the bill on Thursday evening at the Rockhal and satisfied the modern metal fans! The American Metalcore quintet ICE NINE KILLS released their sixth album ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrowood’ at the end of 2021. Co-headlining were the Canadian band SPIRITBOX. In just a few years, they have made a name for themselves in the international scene with their mix of Metalcore / Djent and the impressive vocal performance of Courtney LaPlante. Especially after their debut album ‘Eternal Blue’, the fan base around the ex-IWRESTLEDABEARONCE members and the husband-wife team Courtney and Mike is growing constantly. To round off the whole evening, the Brits from INVISIONS heated up the Rockhal in advance.
