Usually you interview people once a year, but if you do more often there must be a special reason. And yes, we definitely had a reason to interview Vasi Vallis, mastermind behind FROZEN PLASMA, REAPER and NAMNAMBULU once again this year. And no, this time there were no questions about his ‘pretty blue eyes’ or his Borat suit. We were talking about what he’s musically doing since months and got a little view into his studio.

The guys of DESPAIRATION can look back on a quite long musical journey, starting in 1994, when they formed a band named ORATORY. Later in their career they changed the name to DESPAIRATION, and so did their music become more professional compared to their very first musical experiences. Together with a variety of other musicians they worked on their musical skills and engaged in numerous musical co-operations and projects as for instance EDEN WEINT IM GRAB and TRANSIT POETRY. Now, the band is back with a new album, reason enough to ask them a few questions about their career and of course the new output.

Interview withTorul (mastermind) of Torul
From the beginning, Slovenian band TORUL was not just a fresh wave on the electronic scene, it was a breeze storm. Finally there is someone who showed: It is still possible to make something surprisingly new in this direction. Being young band with just couple of releases behind them, TORUL took its place near such acts as VNV NATION, MESH and DE/VISION. The new single ‘All’ which is going to be released on 10th of October is kind of teaser for the upcoming album. However the mastermind of TORUL assures: this song doesn’t fully reflect the concept of the new album. So let us be surprised once again. A bit shy and humble, as all the great minds, Torul told us what’s going on with his project.

Obviously I like leaning more about my favourite bands which are not so numerous and MUNDTOT has definitely become one of them thanks to its original style, great sound, meaningful lyrics and impressive vocals. Not so long ago, this sympho metal formation from the Netherlands released their 4th studio album ‘The Human Contradiction’. So in the light of the event and also because it's becoming a good tradition to make interview with bands playing Russia and whose concerts I see for the first time.
