Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October
The story of BLUE OCTOBER started out in 1995 when Justin Furstenfeld's former band THE LAST WISH disbanded. The first album under the BLUE OCTOBER moniker 'The Answers' took off in 1998 then. Two years later they inked a deal with major label Universal for the release of the second instalment 'Consent to Treatment'. The album didn't sell as good as planned and Universal terminated the deal early.

Paul Kendall / Recoil
Paul Kendall also known as PK or Piquet is a sound engineer, producer, mixer and composer. Meeting Daniel Miller of Mute Records in the 1984 got him into contact with such bands as NITZER EBB, DEPECHE MODE and eventually RECOIL. During his 11 years at Mute's Worldwide Studios, he worked with most of the artists on the label and out-of-house acts such as NIN, PRIMAL SCREAM or and THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN, amongst others. RECOIL, the solo project of ex-DEPECHE MODE member Alan Wilder, is set to release an album in the spring of 2010 entitled 'Selected'.

Johannes (Vocals) of Avatar
In the end of March, the Swedish melodic death metal group AVATAR released their third full-length album, the self-titled ‘Avatar’. After having written the review for this record, I had the chance to do a small interview with Johannes, the vocalist of AVATAR.
