Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - “Live Summer 2026”

Few artists have managed to remain as influential, relevant, and creatively fearless as Nick Cave. On June 30th, 2026, the legendary Australian singer-songwriter and his longtime companions, NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS, will return to Berlin’s iconic Waldbühne as part of their extensive Live Summer 2026 European tour.

The current touring cycle follows the enormous success of the critically acclaimed album ‘Wild God’, released in 2024. Widely praised as one of the strongest records of the band’s later career, ‘Wild God’ explores themes of transformation, loss, hope, resilience, and redemption while combining the emotional intensity that has always defined NICK CAVE’s work with a renewed sense of optimism and grandeur. Songs such as ‘Wild God’, ‘Frogs’, ‘Conversion’, ‘Joy’, and ‘Long Dark Night’ have quickly become live favourites and are expected to feature prominently during the tour.

Originally formed in 1983 after the dissolution of the influential Post-Punk group THE BIRTHDAY PARTY, NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS have spent more than four decades building one of the most extraordinary catalogues in modern music. Blending Post-Punk, Alternative Rock, Gothic Rock, Blues, Art Rock, and cinematic storytelling, the band has created timeless classics including ‘Red Right Hand’, ‘The Mercy Seat’, ‘Into My Arms’, ‘Jubilee Street’, ‘From Her To Eternity’, ‘Tupelo’, ‘Stagger Lee’, and ‘O Children’.

At the centre of the band’s modern sound stands the creative partnership between Nick Cave and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis. Their collaboration has shaped much of the group’s output over the past two decades and remains one of the most compelling artistic partnerships in contemporary music. Together, they continue to push boundaries while maintaining the emotional depth and authenticity that have earned them a devoted global following.

What truly sets Nick Cave apart, however, is his reputation as one of the greatest live performers of his generation. His concerts are far more than simple rock shows. Whether delivering intimate piano ballads or leading the band through explosive, cathartic epics, Cave creates an atmosphere that feels deeply personal, regardless of venue size. Few artists possess the same ability to connect with an audience, transforming every performance into a shared emotional experience.

Berlin itself holds a special significance in Nick Cave’s story. Having spent formative years living and creating in the city during the 1980s, his return to the German capital always carries additional emotional weight. The historic Waldbühne, one of Europe’s most beautiful open-air venues, provides the perfect setting for an artist whose work has consistently balanced grandeur and intimacy.

Audiences can expect a career-spanning setlist featuring both recent material and beloved classics. Alongside songs from ‘Wild God’, fans will likely hear favourites such as ‘Red Right Hand’, ‘The Mercy Seat’, ‘Jubilee Street’, ‘Into My Arms’, ‘From Her To Eternity’, and ‘Bright Horses’. With the band currently enjoying one of the strongest creative periods of their career, expectations for this performance are understandably high.

For long-time devotees and curious newcomers alike, NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS at Berlin's Waldbühne promises to be one of the essential live experiences of the summer of 2026. With a career spanning more than forty years and a catalogue that continues to inspire generations of musicians and fans alike, NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS remain one of the most vital and captivating live acts on the planet. Berlin is unlikely to witness a more intense, emotional, and unforgettable concert this summer.
