CYNIC are probably most well-known for their Progressive styled Death Metal and influenced the genre with their debut full length ‘Focus’. In recent years, the Americans developed their style towards more atmospheric, progressive Rock, which they also present on their most previous effort ‘Kindly Bent To Free Us’. The album flows by nicely and has an interesting mood, but no single songs stick out or leave a lasting impression.
Conclusion: Atmospheric, progressive Rock with nice ideas.
