Canadian old school speed metal band STRIKER was born in the year 2007 in the city of Edmonton, Canada. The line-up was completed in 2008, this was followed rather shortly by the release of the EP ‘Road Warrior’ (Iron Kodex Records) and a European tour. In 2010 the debut ‘Eyes of the Night’ hit the record stores, on the following tour STRIKER played with bands such as: SACRIFICE, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, RAVEN and SODOM. They toured Europe again in 2012, after that the follow-up to their debut called ‘Armed to the Teeth’ came out. So now I sit here with the first cup of coffee I get to drink on this sunny Sunday, listening to old school metal in the sense of ANTHRAX (clean, high vocals and a kick ass rhythm section paired with twin guitars). This band really rocks hard and forces me to buy all their stuff (talk about mind control). Everything a thrash metal fanatic needs is here plus more than tolerable (awesome) vocals.
Conclusion: Straight forward like a boot hitting your face, metal played as tight as tight can... STRIKER!
