On this day, the sun was shining constantly upon the mass of festival attendees. Many tried to gain one of the rather rare shadow spaces on the festival ground, whilst others simply stayed on the camp ground or refreshed themselves in the local swimming bath.

Lanxess Arena, Cologne, Germany
23rd August 2011
Foo Fighters & Cherri Bomb
After several days of rain and thunderstorms in the night, summer arrived finally in full delivering more than 30 degrees on that Tuesday evening - luckily the venue was air-conditioned. After introducing the current album on a small radio concert for 600 people in Cologne in spring, the band now is back in town to rock the big, sold-out Lanxess arena where about 15,000 people came to watch the show of FOO FIGHTERS’ “Wasting Light Tour”. Wuhlheide, Berlin, Germany
7th August 2011
Unheilig, Livingston, Mina Harker, Burn
It was a cold and gray summer evening, and although the Wuhlheide stage was sold out the day before, it was remarkable that at the second show the concert area was only three quarters full. UNHEILIG are one of the most successful German music bands, and since their album ‘Große Freiheit’ they are also known by a broader audience. They have arrived at the middle of the music society - that could be seen also at this day, cause most of the public was middle-aged and dressed colourful - the Gothic people was clear in minority.
