The Cure, 65daysofstatic
A band that doesn’t need a new album (next one scheduled for the 28th of June), a hit song (last one: 10 years ago), or advertising (in all of Berlin there were hardly any posters to promote the concert) to get a 12 thousand people venue completely sold out in no time, doesn’t need any introduction anymore. THE CURE was playing Berlin. Completely underestimated by the bookers, they were originally scheduled for the Treptow Arena, but after it had been sold out for six weeks the concert was moved to the much bigger Velodrom hardly two weeks before the concert (at that point those few promotional posters showed up in Berlin). Still, it was packed, and how.

Diary of Dreams & Noyce TM
It was 26th October 2007 when every DIARY OF DREAMS fan had a big red cross in the calendar. The releases date of the recent album ‘Nekrolog 43’. After the band played a special acoustic set at the release parties in Munich and Leipzig, the tour ‘N43’ began on 10th January 2008 in Riga. Essen was the last of 12 German dates. So the German part found its end in the Weststadthalle, but it should be simply a great final show. For sure also a bit sentimental, because it was the last German show, but all good things will come to an end.

Wednesday 13
After being to several concerts by WEDNESDAY 13, I already knew what was to come: yet another great show. The announced band Serpico wasn't along for the tour as they had problems with leaving the UK, so WEDNESDAY 13 was playing an extended gig.

METALLIC NOISE FESTIVAL (MNF): Grave, Ektomorf, Dew-Scented, Goddess Of Desire, Totenmond, Karkadan, Runamok, Not Tonight Josephine, Creature
Things didn't really work out for me this December Sunday, so I was quite late when I finally arrived at the Rockfabrik. There was no great action in front of the venue, just a few people smoking outside; same situation inside, the Rockfabrik was nearly empty, a fact maybe not surprising when one considers the early daytime - the festival had opened its doors at 2pm.
