Day 4: And One, My Dying Bride, Client, Dope Stars Inc., Tantrum, Morning, Angelspit, Trisomy
The final day of the festival. It was clearly the most quiet day of the festival. Perhaps not everybody had made it to the fourth day. Al this walking from venue to venue is quite tiring. Luckily we were all kept awake by the music of the festival and that is what it is all about. One of the highlights of this day was definitely the show of My Dying Bride who showed they are not about to die for some time to come.

Day 3: VNV Nation, The Crüxshadows, Epica, Inkubus Sukkubus, Heimataerde, Grendel, XMH, Krypteria, Suicidal Romance, Perforator 23, TheNAME, X-[RX]
Day three. Again a promising day. The weather was looking great and today the market would open so it was time to do some shopping. The morning started with a gothic picnic in the museum garden and there you could also sit in on a lecture about death in the middle ages which was quite interesting I might add. Musically it today brought great surprises such as Inkubus Sukkubus and already know pleasures such as The Crüxshadows.

Summer Breeze Open Air - Day 1: BRESCHDLENG, JUSTICE, LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE, AFTER FOREVER, DORO, NEVERMORE, TANZWUT, AMON AMARTH, DORNENREICH
This August, the Summer Breeze Open Air in the south of Germany, a festival well-known to all the Metal fans out there, still by far not as big as Wacken for example, but rather nice and straightforward, has celebrated its 10th anniversary. For the second year now it took place on a small airfield near the village of Dinkelsbühl. The journey there without any car was pretty hard, but we rejoiced in not being controlled like the drivers. Every car had to queue up and the securities did check them all. Only every sixth group of walkers was controlled on weapons and glass.

Area4 Festival Day 1: Leo Can Dive, The Datsuns, Donots, Soulfly, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Eagles of Death Metal, NoFX
Promoters of Area4 festival seem to have a good connection to the weather god. After unbelievably bad, cold and rainy August, the first festival day welcomed us really with sun! Best conditions for the three days of festival fun at the airfield Borkenberge. The venue was perfectly situated lonely and far away from any residents who could moan about the noise. The festival was organised really well to welcome all the visitors - a nice venue, good camping and parking conditions and short ways included.

M’era Luna Festival Day 2 - Hangar Stage: Proceed, Implant, Angels & Agony, Diorama, Rabia Sorda, 32Crash, Welle:Erdball, IAMX, Anne Clark
While the bands on the main stage were performing in bright sunlight, you could enjoy the shadow in the Hangar when mostly electronic bands were playing there. Well-known names like DIORAMA, WELLE:ERDBALL, IAMX or ANNE CLARK were drawing people inside. But also some smaller or new projects like 32CRASH, RABIA SORDA, ANGELS & AGONY, IMPLANT and PROCEED deserved the attention of the visitors.
