Apoptygma Berzerk, NG-PRO
Yet again the organisation of Underground frequencies has managed to get one of the bigger bands in the scene to the Netherlands. This time the nice venue of P60 in Amstelveen has the honour to welcome Norway’s Apoptygma Berzerk. Quite a name in several countries around the world but in the Netherlands the 550 people venue was big enough for an intimate concert for the Dutch and many German fans.

Castlefest
I wasn’t supposed to write a review on Castlefest this year but I went there and it was so great I just couldn’t resist writing about it. This has been one of the highlights of this festival season. They have experienced a huge growth in visitors. On the first day they had more visitors at two o’clock then they had on the whole Friday the year before. So this third edition of Castlefest has been a huge success.

The Crüxshadows, Behind the Scenes
On Thursday, 9th August 2007, we took the chance to visit one of my favourite bands once again. THE CRÜXSHADOWS did a stop in Krefeld before they played on three several festivals at the upcoming weekend (Rock am Schloß - which was cancelled the day before as we knew now, Summer Darkness and M’era Luna Festival). The evening started with the support band BEHIND THE SCENES, it was the last support gig for them because the tour will finish after the upcoming festival-gigs. Also, the show in Krefeld was the last club show together with Rachel, who’s leaving the band after the tour.

Woodstage Festival Day 1: Felsenreich, Lacrimas Profundere, Agonoize, Welle:Erdball, Tanzwut, Paradise Lost, Blutengel, And One, Type O Negative
Summer and sunshine - what could be nicer? This prescription has proved itself since decades and also made this year's Woodstage a huge success. Beside a brightly mixed, but well-balanced program, above all, the weather took its part for this. Having lain picturesquely behind a lake and in the middle of a nice green park, this festival presented itself in the best frame.

Gothic Festival Day 1: Trimetrick, Star Industry, Diskonnekted vs. Frank M. Spinath (Seabound), Punish Yourself, Kiew, Diary of Dreams, Kloq, Project Pitchfork, Grendel, Hocico, In Strict Confidence, Nitzer Ebb
This year it was the second time for the GOTHIC FESTIVAL in Waregem / Belgium, and the first time at the brand-new Expo Hall in this beautiful town in Flanders. Last year it was only a one-day festival with seven bands, this year it was a magnificent fest over two days with 24 bands in total! By this, the GOTHIC FESTIVAL placed itself among the top festivals of the European EBM & Goth scene. The line-up 2007 was outstanding, and especially lovers of Electro & EBM got their fair share. There were two stages - the small club stage in the foyer and the main stage in the central Expo hall - and the stages always alternated. There were no two bands playing at the same time, so you were able to check out every single band, if you want to. Which we did!
