After a truly fantastic anniversary bash on the first of May at Fuchsbau Chemnitz with my band of the heart, UNIFY SEPARATE, the next day may not be about “I’m gonna go to the end of the world”, but rather heading onwards to Cottbus. The duo will once again take the stage here - this time at Kulturzentrum Bunte Welt as a special highlight of today’s DEPECHE MODE party. Also appearing are MENTAL EXILE, who will open the evening. Providing the right atmosphere for the DEPECHE MODE party afterwards will be DJ DARKSENSE from Leipzig.

Tonight we have two bands who are showcasing tracks from new albums. POLY-MATH’s album was released back in April and is called ‘Something Deeply Hidden’; OPENSIGHT’s album ‘The Outfit’ on the other hand is to be released on the 15th of May on Inertial Music. What we get tonight is a mix of Prog Metal instrumental film scores with interesting hooks, gyrations and phrasings that give the assembled and decent crowd something to chew on.

SHE PAST AWAY returned to Hamburg with a night of Darkwave and Post-pPunk intensity, joined by ISLA OLA at Markthalle. Minimal, driving rhythms, shadowy melodies, and a strict, almost ritualistic live presence turned the evening into something hypnotic and cathartic - less a concert than a descent into a beautifully lit underground.
