The Archeon Midwinter Fair
This year it was already the fifth midwinter fair in the Archeon. Time flies when you’re having fun I guess. The fair was well visited again this year, the parking lot was full and so was the enormous field on the other side of the road. The entire Archeon had been changed in to a large gothic and fantasy organized market, workshop and festival.

Out of Line festival: Din[a]tod, Ashbury Heights, Proceed, Spetsnaz, Hocico
On a Friday night the Tivoli already opened at 17h to kick off the Out of Line festival. With 5 of their bands, emerging and established ones, the festival had a variety of musical styles to enjoy. The early starting time lead to the venue filling up slowly during the night till it was well filled by the time Hocio entered the stage.

IAMX
Chris Corner’s IAMX returned to Cologne a mere seven months after their last visit to the Rhine metropolis. After the US tour of his band he was apparently happy to be back in Europe. And the packed Underground club unhesitatingly celebrated the return of IAMX!

Iced Earth, Annihilator, Turisas
Heavy metal coming to 013 with Iced Earth as headliner is always sure to bring in quite a few people and it did again this time. And not just fans of Iced Earth but both support acts seemed to have built a fanbase in the Netherlands as well as it turned out.

Kim Wilde, Nick Beggs
Kim Wilde; a name that makes most of us remember the eighties. The singer now has returned with a new album “Never Say Never”. It is not surprising, therefore, that Tivoli is packed with friends who adore her, and who form a loyal audience to Nick Beggs.
