The Rasmus - “Weirdo Tour” 2025
Finnish Rock band THE RASMUS is set to perform in Hamburg on November 11, 2025, as part of their “Weirdo Tour”. After more than two decades of unforgettable hits and their unique mix of Rock, Pop and a pinch of dark melancholy, THE RASMUS will return to Markthalle in Hamburg on 11th November 2025 with fresh energy.
The band’s impressive success story began in Helsinki in 1994. In a creative fusion, the charismatic singer Lauri Ylönen, bassist Eero Heinonen, guitarist Pauli Rantasalmi and the then drummer Janne Heiskanen combined their musical talents to form THE RASMUS. Their unmistakable style, which playfully crosses the boundaries of Rock and Pop and is refined with a dark melancholy, soon emerged. Their debut album ‘Peep’ from 1996 attracted a great deal of public attention and laid the foundations for their remarkable career. The year 2003 is regarded as a turning point in their career: with the album ‘Dead Letters’ and the mega-hit ‘In the Shadows’ it contained, they stormed the European charts and catapulted themselves into the international music Olympus. The catchy, melancholic melodies, paired with Lauri Ylönen’s distinctive and memorable voice, struck a chord and attracted a huge fan base that still identifies enthusiastically with their music today.
In recent years, THE RASMUS have experienced a new heyday. With new releases and rousing live performances, they are building on their past successes and are able to inspire both old and new fans alike. Their unmistakable style continues to characterise the Scandinavian music scene and makes the band one of Finland’s most successful and internationally renowned rock bands. Awarded 6-times platinum and 8-times gold, THE RASMUS released their new song ‘Rest in Pieces’ on 25 October 2024. The powerful and dark song marks a new stage in their musical development and deals with anger and betrayal. Frontman Lauri Ylönen explains that the song was written as an expression of his disappointment over the betrayal of a friend and is intended to have a positive, empowering effect despite the intense emotions.
Fans can look forward to an unforgettable comeback that reignites the magic and passion of THE RASMUS and heralds a new era in their musical journey. The “Weirdo Tour” spans multiple countries, with the following dates:
