‘After The Future’ is the 11th studio album by ESCAPE WITH ROMEO since 1990… Yes, more than 25 years and for some strange reasons, this band is still largely underrated, especially outside Germany. A too well kept secret that would deserve much more awareness. Maybe the large scope of style and talents is a reason to this. It’s just simply impossible to put a label on it. Is it Pop? Dance? Electro? Dark? Club? Simple answer: all of it and none. The only thing that comes to my mind whenever I listen to EWR is talent. And this album makes no exception. My only recommendation for RoD readers (generally used to good music isn’t it?) is to go straight away listening to this album.
Conclusion: To help a bit, if you’re into very melodic synth pop, beautiful vocals, great melodies and big production, this is for you. A smash!
