Rock Imperium Festival 2023 Day 2 with Night Flight Orchestra, H.E.A.T., Europe, Lepoka, Deep Purple, Wormed, Soen
The second day of Rock Imperium 2023 was right in the middle of the yearly tradition that brings together music fans under the sunny Murcia coast. With powerful guitar sounds, swirling smoke, and the warm sun, the event captured the spirit of the festival. The music filled the air, making it clear that Rock Imperium is more than just a festival - it’s a special time where people enjoy music and the sun.

Being As An Ocean - “Swallowed by the Earth EU Tour 2023” - Special Guests: Of Virtue, Senna
A rather unspectacular Instagram post announced the upcoming European tour of BEING AS AN OCEAN, with the two remaining band members Joel Quartuccio and bassist und clean-singer Michael McGough standing in a snowy, derelict building with the gloomy caption: “See you in 2023! You aren’t ready for what we have. Bring it on.” And fans gladly obliged to see their favourite band in the cozy Kulttempel.

W-Festival 2023 Day 3 with Lavvi Ebbel, Praga Khan (DJ Set), Genesis (Classic), Mildreda, The Cardigans, Corpus Delicti, Natalie Imbruglia, Blancmange, OMD, Project Pitchfork
Final Day of W-Festival 2023. It was kind of cold and windy today. At least, the rain stopped during the morning and the day later on presented a beautiful blue sky with lots of nice clouds. The programme today promised to be quite diverse. I was especially looking forward to THE CARDIGANS, NATALIE IMBRUGLIA and OMD, latter one I nearly missed completely at Amphi Festival a few weeks ago. So, let’s get started with the beautiful life, LAVVIE EBBEL.

W-Festival 2023 Day 2 with Time Bandits, Nik Kershaw, Traitrs, Earth Wind & Fire Experience by Al McKay, Soror Dolorosa, Wet Wet Wet, NNHMN, Nena, Cold Cave, The Human League
Do you remember that I said in the first part of the review that because of the tent part of the flair of the festival was gone? Today, I was very happy about the tent and I guess many of the gests were as well since during the day we had some heavy rain showers. And now, there were many possibilities to find shelter from the rain… the Main Stage tent, Batcave, merch tent… good to have them all. The second festival day offered some very cool bands and most of the attendees were looking forward to NENA and THE HUMAN LEAGUE. The tent during their shows was so full that no more people were let in.

W-Festival 2023 Day 1 with Björn Again, Velvet Mist, China Crisis, Pretty Addicted, A Flock of Seagulls, Hocico, Midge Ure, Mike Peters of The Alarm, Village People
Here we are, back at the Klein Strand (small beach) in Oostende. It was the third edition at the beach, this year, lasting only three days which I find much more convenient. There were two stages, one was the main stage with a nice band mix from 80s and 90s, and the second one was the Batcave Live, which presented the darker kind of music from now and the past.
