Music is the strongest form of magic. When you stand in the crowd feeling the same thing at the same moment, you become part of something greater than yourself. You feel connected to the audience and supported. You can sing, you can move and you feel emotions you might suppress in daily life. The crowd permits intensity and deep in your brain you may register this as freedom. You belong somewhere and feel understood by strangers who love the same music as you do. That’s magic. And E-tropolis 2026 had quite a few magical moments in store for me. But first things first but not necessarily in that order.

Eihwar - “Pagan Folk Nights” - Support: Mira Ceti
On Saturday night, Kulturfabrik felt less like a concert venue and more like a place of worship. Tickets had sold out before the show started, and the anticipation was palpable long before the first note was played. Fans of pagan and Viking-inspired music had gathered for what promised to be more than just a live performance - and EIHWAR delivered exactly that. Their feral, trance-inducing blend of Nordic electro folk transformed the dance floor into a modern-day longhouse, blurring the line between audience and ceremony.

On a Sunday evening in Frankfurt, the Jahrhunderthalle turned into a melting pot of Symphonic Metal, Modern Metal and cinematic soundscapes as AMARANTHE and EPICA brought their “Arcane Dimensions Tour 2026” to the stage - marking the final show of the entire tour. Supported by CHARLOTTE WESSELS’ THE OBSESSION, the line-up promised a diverse musical journey - from dark, atmospheric compositions to high-energy, hook-driven anthems.
