Elekktroshokk Festival Day 2: Diorama, Welle:Erdball, Klangstabil, Noyce TM, X-Divide, Suicide Booth, Agapesis, Concrete/Rage, Skorbut
We started the Saturday very relaxed with sleeping and eating until 5:00 PM before we slowly headed to the Live Factory. Also there, our day started pretty relaxed with meeting friends and chatting. Besides that, we had a glimpse at the first bands before our favourites were up to enter the stage.

Elekktroshokk Festival Day 1: Frozen Plasma, Heimataerde, Straftanz, Das Ich, Phase III, Santa Hates You, Dupont, F.O.D, Glenn Love, dAVOS, Schneewittchen, Excubitors, Lost Area
Already very early on Friday we travelled to the little city of Adelsheim in Baden-Württemberg. Our hotel was situated a little outside the venue, the Live-Factory, and so we really needed to hurry as the first band was to start already at 2:15 PM. Did anyone actually consider that ordinary working people can’t go on a festival at this time? After arriving at the really beautiful and huge location we were certain we’d be right with our assumption: Emptiness everywhere!

Papa Roach, Filter, In this Moment
PAPA ROACH were opening their German tour on Cologne. The concert was sold-out and when I arrived at the venue - quite early I must add - people were queuing up down the whole street and even around the corner. Somehow I did not expect these masses at that time. Knowing that a sold-out Live Music Hall will turn into a sauna soon, I was prepared for anything. As special guest (and I was really looking forward this band) PAPA ROACH brought FILTER with them. But before those started, the evening was opened by IN THIS MOMENT.

Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton, UK
10th April 2009
The Rasmus, Backyard BabiesIt’s always interesting to visit a new venue and this one held many surprises, not the least being the amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The hall itself is somewhat old and a little dog-eared here and there, but it’s a proper Hall in which to hold gigs, with good acoustics, facilities well planned and a really buzzing ‘old school’ atmosphere.

Letzte Instanz, Van Canto
On 27th February, the Dresden-based band LETZTE INSTANZ released its ninth album `Schuldig´ containing 13 songs in German language. The musicians can be described as a formation that represents a mixture of Folk Rock, Rock and the so-called “Brachialromantik” (a German expression for brute and at the same time romantic sounds). Right after the release, the septet went on “UnSchuldstour” through Germany and was able to find out whether the album’s songs also gained a great reception live on stage.
