Summerbreeze Festival Day 1: All Ends, Emil Bulls, Saltatio Mortis, Arch Enemy, Behemoth, Halloween, Marduk plus pics of Graveworm, Kissin Dynamite, Paradise Lost, Primordial, Soilwork and The Wild Hearts
This year's Summerbreeze was going to be the 11th time for Metalheads, Gothics and Rockers to gather in Dinkelsbuehl to solemnize three days of good music. There were be 90 bands on 3 stages, without overlapping schedules for the main stages. And for those who came early, the party tent opened already on the 13th at 4 PM already. The first day of Summer Breeze came up with brilliant sunshine, almost a bit too hot. Anyway, lots of bands like SALTATIO MORTIS, ARCH ENEMY and MARDUK were on the rooster.

Joe Cocker
It was totally appropriate for someone as legendary as Joe Cocker to be onstage at the equally legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. As I stated online before this show, it could be expected to be a show nothing short of spectacular with the combination of music and natural elements that would be capturing the audience on a gorgeous, star filled night. It was definitely beyond spectacular and words cannot describe what an enchanting and incredibly memorable time I had. http://www.cocker.com/ / www.myspace.com/joecocker

Gothic Festival Day 3: De Volanges, DIN[A]TOD, Joy Disaster, Collection d'Arnell-Andrea, Madre Del Vizio, Garden of Delight, Cinema Strange, Trisomie 21, Das Ich, The Neon Judgement, Qntal, Anne Clark
That was it already; the last festival day has come. I was especially looking forward the show of GARDEN OF DELIGHT who are going on their very final tour currently. Another highlight were surely local heroes THE NEON JUDGEMENT and the day’s headliner ANNE CLARK with a fabulous show.

Gothic Festival Day 2: Empusae, Stin Scatzor, Jesus and the Gurus, Spetsnaz, Spectra*Paris, Combichrist, In Slaughter Natives, Les Tambours du Bronx, Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio, Suicide Commando, Sonar, Fields of the Nephilim
After a great electronic final with VNV NATION on the first festival day, the second days had something in stock for all the old-school Goth rockers. FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM were headlining the main stage and it was a real pleasure to see this band in front of a smaller crowd. So, it was much more intense. Besides the good old Goth rockers, this day had of course much more to offer, like a surprisingly great gig of JESUS AND THE GURUS or the fabulous percussion performance of LES TAMBOURS DU BRONX.

M’era Luna Festival Day 2 Main Stage: Mono Inc., End of Green, The Other, Blitzkid, The Vision Bleak, Lacrimas Profundere, Saltatio Mortis, Apoptygma Berzerk, New Model Army, Fields of the Nephilim
When we woke up on the second day and had a look outside our hotel window, we already spotted a grey cloudy sky. And soon after, rain started pouring down. Anyway, already several people showed up in early times at the festival side to watch the early bands hidden under their umbrellas. The main stage on this festival day was dominated by more punk-ish music like presented by THE OTHER or BLITZKID or the Goth rock of LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE or NEW MODEL ARMY. But highlight of the day was surely the headliner performance of FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM, now playing in a wonderful coloured dawn you could even spot in Carl McCoy’s sun glasses… [DV]
