25th of April 2008
Emilie Autumn, Sieben
About two hours before the show started people started lining up in front of the venue. They even brought picknicks and blankets. They all wanted to make sure they would be in front of the stage during the show. Because that is where you get special attention from the ladies on stage. In the hallway of the Effenaar the special Emilie merchandise was already waiting to be sold. Besides shirts and albums there is jewellery, and other accessories.

Schiller
On Monday, 19th May we visited SCHILLER at his current tour in Münster. The concert was announced with Dolby surround sound and I was very nosy for this thing. SCHILLER is the main project of Christopher von Deylen, a German musician. Von Deylen doesn't provide vocals for any of his music, instead choosing to collaborate with singers from within and outside of Germany, for example Enya, Sarah Brightman, Peter Heppner, miLù, Tarja Turunen, Alexander Veljanov or Mike Oldfield. The name of the band is taken from one of von Deylen's heroes, famed German poet Friedrich Schiller. The current album is called ‘Sehnsucht’ and was released in April 2008. At this concert, SCHILLER was supported by a live band, introduced by him as the best band of the world, and three female singers who sang several songs. http://www.myspace.com/schillermusic

Wave Gotik Treffen Day 4: Deviant UK (GB), Gothika (J), Militant Cheerleaders On The Move (S), Miss Construction (D), Spetsnaz (S), Nachtmahr (A), Absolute Body Control (B), Die Krupps (D)
This was the last day. After three long days with lots of concerts and short nights, we were pretty exhausted already. So we took it easy at the last day and started again with the usual breakfast at the MORITZBASTEI which we extended with some friends to some hours, sitting in the cosy place, until we finally went to the KOHLRABIZIRKUS where we spent the whole day and ended out festival.

Wave Gotik Treffen Day 2: In the Nursery (GB), Reptyle (D), Escape with Romeo (D), Reaper (D), Spectra*Paris (I), Signal Aout 42 (B), Hocico (MEX), Covenant (S), Northern Lite (D)
At Saturday we started the day with a long breakfast in the MORITZBASTEI, met some friends there, visited the medieval market and enjoyed the fancifully styled people in the city centre. Later we did a stop in the KUPPELHALLE - a very nice baroque outfitted old fair hall with chandeliers, balconies and several tables and seats. Here we joined the show of IN THE NURSERY.
