Klein Strand, Oostende, Belgium24th to 28th August 2022
W-Fest 2022 Day 2 T’Pau, The Animals, Soulsister, Paul Carrack, Lightning Seeds, xPropaganda and Squeeze
Back on the festival ground for the second day. The day did not start too early at 13:00 with good weather and we were already eager to see lots of cool bands, most of them I haven’t seen so far at all. Highlight was probably the concert of XPROPAGANDA. Opener of the Thursday were T’PAU. Luckily, it stayed dry during the whole day, even though it became quite windy and chilly at the evening. Jacket was a good idea.

W-Fest 2022 Day 1 with The Kids, Nits, Fiction Factory, Big Country, Scritti Politti, Anne Clark & Bauhaus
Last year, the W-Fest has moved from Waregem to the Klein Strand in Oostende, directly at the beach. This year, the festival was taking place once more at the “Small Beach” in Oostende, extended to five days now. The first day offered such heroes like ANNE CLARK and BAUHAUS. The festival once more offered a fabulous line-up. Fancy five days of sun, sea and the best music of the 80s and 90s. There were some special performances during the festival. I.e., I think of BAUHAUS or FICTION FACTORY and ANNE CLARK.

Den Atelier, Luxembourg City, Luxembourg21st August 2022
Clutch - “Go Forth Ad Infinitum XXII Tour”
On Sunday, the US rockers from CLUTCH were guests at the Den Atelier in the capital of Luxembourg and proved that despite playing plenty of festivals this summer, they are not tired of rocking the stage. The A was definitely well attended, and you could tell that the audience was a mixed bunch of all ages. Older as well as younger CLUTCH fans were at the show and didn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate the rockers.

The Gaslight Anthem - “UK & European Tour 2022” - Support: Chris Farren
THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM had disappeared from the scene for far too long. It was only in March 2022, a whole eight years after their last studio album, that there was a sign of life in the form of a tour announcement and the prospect of a new album from the band. Four gigs in Germany were on the bill - we were part of the party at the gig in Cologne.

Rocco del Schlacko 2022 Day 3 with Clutch, Fever333, Flogging Molly, The Gaslight Anthem, Kummer and Casper
The third, and thus the last day of the festival, was also marked again by the bright sun and extreme heat. But this did not stop the festival-goers from remaining in good spirits and celebrating their favourite bands with enough energy.
