AGONY is a band from Italy, formed in 2005. Their debut EP is called ‘Your dark Grace’ and was released in end of 2006. In the last years the line-up changed and now the band consists of Andreas Blackrose, Pale, Lady Iron, Vega, Jesus and Valerious. During February/March 2008, AGONY was back at Frequenze Studio to give birth to their second release ‘Heartache Avenue’, recorded and mixed by Guido Fioravanti (Fire Trails, OperaNoire).
The EP itself consists of five tracks with total playing time of 23:34. The romantic and melancholic songs are about the never ending theme of love and suffering; the music is a kind of powerful gothic rock, dominated by guitars and drums, perfected by the charismatic voice of the singer. Altogether this EP is a solid release, not revolutionary, but pleasant to listen to. You can buy the CD by contacting the band on myspace. Price is 5 euro (shipping to Europe included).
