2014 will see the 5th edition of the Dark Spring Festival by now and as the years before it is characterized by its focus on guitar-based Goth Rock, Dark Wave and Indie Rock. But different from last year, the festival is moving to a new venue; the BINUU in Berlin/Kreuzberg, a club, which became almost a legend under its former name: Kato – Berlin´s crucial point for the Dark and Alternative scene for many years. So it’s the right ambience for the Dark Spring Fest, with its lineup including thrilling bands throughout the genres, miles aside from the usual sounds and faces of the subcultural mainstream.
Apart from Berlin´s GOLDEN APES, who are initiators and hosts of the festival, the billing for round number 5 lists: the English Goth Rockers of NFD, SHE PAST AWAY from Turkey, Italy´s CHRISTINE PLAYS VIOLA, RED SUN REVIVAL from Britannia also and the Berlin-based Indierock outfit THE WARS. Following the performances there´ll be a moody after-show party with the eminent DJs Knüpfi & Thomas Thyssen.
