Apocalyptica & Epica - “The Epic Apocalypse” Tour 2023 - Support: Wheel

On this Day, two bands meet that combine classical instruments with Heavy-Metal like no others. On this evening, EPICA present their new album ‘The Alchemy Project’ live. A truly epic sound is delivered here by the Dutch band. With singer Simone Simons and her soprano voice, EPICA’s Symphonic Power Metal is perfected. Even though the choirs and symphonic instruments are played by keyboard, EPICA otherwise goes the traditional way of a band and performs with guitars, drums and electric bass.

APOCALYPTICA was one of the first bands that played Heavy Metal music on cellos. In the beginning they covered the songs of their favourite band METALLICA, for whom they were even allowed to play as a support band in 1998 and made a name for themselves in the Heavy Metal scene. But today APOCALYPTICA, who come from Finland, mainly play their own songs and sometimes get a guest musician, for example, Nina Hagen, with whom they covered the RAMMSTEIN song ‘Seemann’ or Simone Simons from EPICA. Simone is featured with her heavenly voice on the newest song of APOCALYPTICA, ‘Rise Again’.

See and hear these two unique bands on their European tour also in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
