Stratovarius & Sonata Arctica - “Nordic Power Metal Titans” - Support: Induction
SONATA ARCTICA keyboardist Henrik “Henkka” Klingenberg is excited: “We are very happy to finally be on tour again with a Power Metal set - and on top of that as a co-headliner with our friends from STRATOVARIUS! Since SONATA ARCTICA’s first tour was in 2000 with those same guys, this re-issue 23 years later is really a great thing, especially for those of us who weren’t a part of our band back then. These shows are truly going to be a once-in-a-lifetime affair… once again!”
STRATOVARIUS comment: “We can’t wait to play this tour together with SONATA ARCTICA and INDUCTION. We were also touring with SONATA ARCTICA and RHAPSODY in 2000 when the “New Wave of Power Metal” was just getting started, so the upcoming shows are a great way to show that Power Metal still plays an important role in in the Heavy Metal world and how it has evolved and adapted over the years, but also how it has ultimately survived!”
Adds INDUCTION guitarist Tim Kanoa Hansen, “Our latest effort, ‘Born from Fire’, really enjoyed a tremendous reception on its release tour late last year, but those shows were just the beginning. We really can’t wait to present our music live to many more hungry Power Metal fans in Europe next fall.
