Dirkschneider - “Balls To The Wall - 40th Anniversary Tour” - Supports: Crownshift, All For Metal
DIRKSCHNEIDER? A name that is not just the second incarnation of U.D.O., Udo Dirkschneider’s band. In this form, it pays tribute exclusively to the musical past of its legendary founder and singer. Like Peter Baltes, who has since taken over the position of U.D.O. bassist, Udo was, for many years, a key songwriter in the success of the scene-defining formation ACCEPT, which he himself founded in the 70s. During that creative phase of the German Heavy Metal institution, a certain work called ‘Balls To The Wall’ was created, among other things.
The motto “Balls To The Wall” definitely also applies to the current DIRKSCHNEIDER line-up, which includes the drumming clockwork Sven Dirkschneider as well as the gifted guitarists Andrey Smirnov and Fabian “Dee” Dammers. It is all the more fitting that the 40th anniversary of the ACCEPT studio album, originally released in late 1983 and also the best-selling and best-known, recently fell right in the middle of the band’s heyday. So, the band naturally doesn’t want to miss the opportunity to play the entire album live to celebrate their special day - and all of this ON TOUR LENGTH in spring 2025!
Udo is looking forward to the prestigious dates: “I’m really looking forward to paying tribute to the successful album by my band ACCEPT again. Bringing the album ‘Balls To The Wall’ to the stage in its entirety with Peter Baltes at my side will definitely be a major highlight of my career!” But after around 45 minutes of ‘Balls To The Wall’ that’s not all: In addition to cult songs like the title track, ‘London Leatherboys’, ‘Love Child’ or the final ballad ‘Winterdreams’, DIRKSCHNEIDER will also pack a few musical surprises into the program and give their live scene a new look. So, everything is ready to make the performances on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of this undisputed ACCEPT milestone unforgettable evenings for all Heavy Metal fans.
