Saxon - “Hell, Fire And Steel Tour” - Special Guests: Girlschool, Grand Slam
After outstanding performances as special guests of JUDAS PRIEST on their recently sold-out European tour, SAXON return with the announcement of their own extensive European tour. The “Hell, Fire And Steel” European tour will see the band not only play songs from their recently released album ‘Hell, Fire And Damnation’, but also the entire classic second album ‘Wheels Of Steel’ (which celebrates its 45th anniversary next year), as well as other fan favorites and hits from throughout the band’s career.
The European tour begins on February 4th in Bremen (Aladin Music-Hall) and also makes stops in Germany in Hamburg (February 17th, Docks), Munich (February 25th, Muffathalle), Erfurt (March 1st, Central), Berlin (March 4th, Huxleys Neue Welt) and Leipzig (March 5th, Haus Auensee).
The band’s breakthrough album, ‘Wheels of Steel’, has been cited by numerous journalists as one of those classic albums that every metal fan should own. From the hit single ‘747 (Strangers in the Night)’ to the title track ‘Wheels of Steel’, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed to see and hear one of the best metal albums played from start to finish in all its glory. Biff Byford of SAXON says: “We are really excited to be heading back to Europe early next year and wanted to do something special to mark the occasion. It was fantastic to be a part of the JUDAS PRIEST tour and we wanted to take some of that spirit and energy into our next tour and what better way to do that than to play the first album, ‘Wheels of Steel’, in its entirety. Of course, we will also be playing the usual selection of hits and other fan favourites as well as songs from our new album, Hell, Fire and Damnation.”
