27th and 28th September 2008
Diary of Dreams, Sieben, Adoration, Swarf, Deviant UK
We have done several shows in Germany this year already… as well as shows in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Paris and some festivals as well. When DIARY OF DREAMS announced two shows in the UK it was more than clear that we would also go to see those concerts taking place in Sheffield and London end of September 2008. And what could be better than being on the road with friends, see the world and experience great concerts?

26th to 27th July 2008
Castle Party: Colony 5, Cinema Strange, 32Crash, Garden of Delight, In Strict Confidence, Anne Clark, Red Emprez, Reaper, The Crüxshadows, Deine Lakaien
According to end-of-July tradition, the biggest Polish festival Castle Party took place in a little city in the south – Bolkow. Once again the streets at the castle become crowded with black/pink/red clothed people and the air of the (usually) quiet town got filled with the sound of gothic music. Extremely hot weather, fine atmosphere, new clubs for the after-parties, gorgeous line-up and hundreds of guests from many countries proved the festival is developing and its popularity is growing.

On 22nd September the EISBRECHER anchored at the Matrix in Bochum, but it wasn’t anything but cold at the club. It was probably twice as hot as it was outside. They got company by one of the shooting stars of the scene: The German JESUS ON EXTASY.

17th September 2008
Paradise Lost & Anathema
It was in May 2008 that PARADISE LOST released their new DVD ‘The Anatomy of Melancholy’. But that wasn’t just an ordinary release for this band which is known to be the creator of a whole new genre: The Gothic Metal, a mixture which appeared for the first time on the album ‘Gothic’ in 1991. Since then a lot of time has passed and a lot of albums have been released, culminating up to the release of their eleventh album ‘In Requiem’ back in 2007. The DVD was a gift to the fans to celebrate their 20th anniversary and for this special occasion, the band has played a few hand selected anniversary shows in Europe, the last one being the show at the Kulturfabrik in Krefeld. The support slot was taken by the British rockers of ANATHEMA.
