Dreadful Shadows, Eminence of Darkness
I really was looking forward to the concert of my favourite band DREADFUL SHADOWS for a very long time. Seven long years - this precisely is the time that has past since their break off in the year 2000. To be honest, I already know this fantastic band since 1995, and I have visited their concerts many times before - but nevertheless I really was not able to predict what to expect in Werk II. At 7.30 p.m. we reached the location Werk II. Strangely there were only a few people waiting at the entrance. So it happened that only a few minutes later we stood in front of the stage already. Then the location filled up and at 9.00 pm the support-band opened the evening.

Paradise Lost, Eyes of Eden and Neurosonic
It has been a year full of activity so far for PARADISE LOST. They have played several festival gigs in Europe and i.e. in Morocco. An absolute highlight was a concert in London in April in the Koko club, when new songs were played to the public before they were even released. This concert was filmed and will be released as a live DVD someday soon. You can get a little impression of the concert by watching the video of ‘Praise Lamented Shade’ which you will find on YouTube or over the PARADISE LOST MySpace site.

Hammerfall, Bloodbound
The hammer will fall, this sentence would come true tonight, but more on that later. Shortly after the opening, the Rockfabrik Ludwigsburg started to fill with diverse audience. Everything was represented, from young fans which almost behaved like groupies of a boy-band in the first row to the old ones which where somewhat calmer. Finally it was a long time ago since HAMMERFALL played the last time here, so the fans discussed full of joy what they seem to expect from the concert.

Paradise Lost, Eyes of Eden, Neurosonic
A warm October night. A Sunday night even but still many came to Utrecht and headed in the same direction, to Tivoli. It was quite busy for a Sunday night. But then again, for a band such as Paradise Lost that might not be so strange at all. They have had some time now to gather fans, and successfully did so. Three countries united in one tour. And that tour was ending in Utrecht on this very evening.
