Interview withFenne Kuppens (vocals), Sander Hermans (synths) and Sander Pelsmaekers (drums) from Whispering Sons
One of the most promising bands in Europe in the Post Punk genre is clearly WHISPERING SONS. This quintet hails from a small town in Belgium called Houthalen/ Helchteren and their EP ‘Endless Party’ is a masterpiece. They describe their own music as “Belgian post-punk breathing dark and atmospheric sounds”, with a touch of Shoegaze. The singularity of the band comes mainly from the low, dark voice of their (female) singer, Fenne Kuppens, which evokes NICO, LEBANON HANOVER and MRS ARAFNA (NOVEMBER NÖVELET). Our journalist Phil Blackmarquis caught up with the band in Brussels.

Interview withAlbert Norberg (guitar & lead vocals), Robert Johnson (bass & vocals) and Johan Gren (drums & vocals) from NitroDive
Let us be honest - it is impossible to not know the RAMONES. Even if it’s not musicwise, one has surely seen their name and logo on a shirt somewhere. The godfathers of early punk have inspired many bands to even start making music, and the number of covered songs is infinite. Add nine though, because on March 25th, our friends from NITRODIVE will publish their new album SHOCK TREATMENT - a RAMONES cover album with their all-time favorite songs! In February we visited them again in their hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden, to talk about the album in depth.

Every band has its fans - it’d be bad if that wasn’t the case after all! But not every band can brag with having their own fan club or support team - the guys around Andy Brings’ DOUBLE CRUSH SYNDROME have two in one though, and their DCS SUPPORTERS sure take their job seriously. Founders Matthias and Michaela Häcker, going by the motto ”we die for DCS”, are not only the most energetic first row couple, they also made their very own supporter festival with DOUBLE CRUSH SYNDROME playing as headliner in 2015. Not a one-timer, as it turned out - on March 5th, 2016, the second DCS Supporters Festival will take place in Pforzheim, Germany. Of course with DOUBLE CRUSH SYNDROME headlining and a handful of talented bands supporting them - and we were having a quick chat with Matthias Häcker about the project!- Details

Interview with Andrea Freda (drums) from Spiral69 & Spiritual Front
Not so long ago, Italian band SPIRAL69 released their album ‘Second Chance’ and within their current tour visited Russia with two shows. Another successful Italian formation SPIRITUAL FRONT is only going to come to Russia this summer with a couple of concerts. In the meantime we had a chance to ask a few tricky questions to a musician who is a talented drummer playing in both bands and a sort of connecting link between them. So seat back and enjoy reading!
