COPPELIUS are a band with an impressively long history, whose first concert took place in Anno1803! Now, in 2023, we raise the absinthe glass in toast to a historic anniversary: 220 years of COPPELIUS! Not aged a day, the elegant gentlemen have remained true to their style, persistently wear frock coats and top hats and are the only chapel which even in these modern times still affords a butler. In this historic year there is also a new album by Messrs.
COPPELIUS: They’ve gotten darker over the years. The cello roars like a wall of electric guitars, the double bass trembles underneath and the clarinets cut through the arrangement in the treble: After 220 years, the Coppelian Hard Rock sonata form has finally been perfected! On the associated anniversary concert tour, the band plays works from the new album and from the two hundred and twenty-year-old oeuvre. Strict composure is maintained - at least initially... later hair, top hats & props fly. A salutary tumult. COPPELIUS helps!
