Thin Lizzy
Quite some time ago in a place very far away from where I am right now, there was a multi-talented young man with a dream that he was determined to make come true. The place was Dublin, Ireland, the time over 40 years ago, the man a very charismatic character that not only had extra-ordinary talents as a bass player and singer, but overwhelmingly phenomenal skills as a songwriter and lyricist. His name was Philip Parris Lynott and his dream was to form a band that had such a distinct sound made from dueling and harmonious lead guitars that it would leave an exclusive mark in the history rock music. Mr. Lynott’s dream band came true. He called it THIN LIZZY. He lived by his dream and he died by his dream, sadly only 15 years after creating it. Fortunately, Phil Lynott’s brilliant song writing skills have quite handily endured the tests of time and his legendary music continues to live on more than 25 years after his death.

[:SITD:], Architect, SAM
15 years of [:SITD:] are more than a good reason to start a celebration and where else could the band start it than where it all started many years ago. In the meantime they’ve become quite an influential factor for other bands. On that special occasion the band’s invited two guests to warm-up the crowd a little.

Textures, SiMÓN, Steak Number Eight
The Dutch formation TEXTURES is well known for producing progressive metal with mathematic precision and complexity. Over the last few years, there have been some changes in line up and atmosphere of their music. Recently, the band released their 4th studio album ‘Dualism’. Without losing their characteristic dynamics and loudness, I expect they will reach a broader range of audience with this album. In between international touring, TEXTURES found a little time for a short tour in their home country, and I’m curious what their live show will bring.

Within Temptation & Anneke van Giersbergen
The hall was nearly sold out, and people were waiting impatiently, but in a good mood for WITHIN TEMPTATION. Older couples and excited Goth girls were standing together, when Anneke with her band appeared for their support slot.

Flogging Molly, The Mighty Stef & The Minutes
It’s been three years ago that FLOGGING MOLLY released their album ‘Float’, and now they’re back! But the surprising fact is that the new album not really sounds like its predecessors anymore. The typical guitar sound had to clear the field for “native” or “original” instruments. And of course there was the need to present the new album live on tour. This show in Oberhausen was pretty packed and people had a great night with FLOGGING MOLLY, THE MIGHTY STEF and fist band of the evening, THE MINUTES.
