The Crüxshadows, Ayria
When I arrived at the venue at about half past 6 pm in order to attend the concert of THE CRÜXSHADOWS, I only met a small group of other attendees in front of the Colos-Saal. Having some nice conversations, time went by very quickly and the admission eventually took place. The hall was still pretty empty, but more and more people gradually arrived. While everyone was waiting for the beginning of the concert, I took a look at the stage with a huge THE CRÜXSHADOWS backdrop and a smaller one displaying the logo of the Canadian support band AYRIA that entered the stage at 8 pm.

Marilyn Manson, Esoterica
I guess that there aren’t many bands that are debated and written about that much like MARILYN MANSON. Misunderstandings and consistent self-dramatisation have shaped the career of the American formation up to today. Besides the controversy about the performances, front man Brian Warner aka Marilyn Manson and his band mates got talked about due to rock albums such as `Antichrist Superstar´ and `Mechanical Animals´. The latter one, in my opinion a multi-layered and partly retro homage to gloomy glam rock, aroused my interest in their work in particular. Therefore, I was curious about MARILYN MANSON would sound like today.

Pleasure & Pain Festival: Jäger 90, Bakterielle Infektion and Welle:Erdball
It was a cold and rainy night in Brandenburg. We made our way to the “Haus der Offiziere” which could be recognized as such by the “dark people” standing outside of it. The “Pleasure & Pain Festival” is probably the most gothic thing that happened to Brandenburg in quite a lot of time. And so, everybody was excited to see how this evening would turn out and streamed inside as soon as the doors opened. Let's have some pleasure!

Beauty And The Beast tour - Leaves’Eyes, Sirenia, Atrocity, Stream Of Passion, Elis
For months the fans are counting down for the long-expected ‘Beauty And The Beast’ tour. The first Dutch gig is in Sneek and we say ‘goodbye’ after four gigs in Vosselaar, Belgium. It was a very dynamic week; where all the bands came closer to each other and being stronger every night. It was a pleasure to be able to observe that. Sad news is that all the bands had to suffer with voice problems: hurting throats and shawls everywhere. Liv Kristine was challenged with no voice at all, but she handled it in the most professional way. Respected by the other bands and fans. It made this tour unforgettable. There are high expectations, but they are more than fulfilled!
