6th December 2017
Extreme & Dorje
It all started when four Boston-bred kids joined forces in the late 80s to form EXTREME. The band has described their music as “Funky Metal” in the early days. On Wednesday, which was Saint Nicholas here in Luxembourg, they came to Esch sur Alzette to demonstrate that their Funk-Metal is still alive. Supporting that funky evening was the British band DORJE, which is mostly known on the internet.

Marteria & Kid Simius
Marten Laciny is a 35 year old hip hop artist who celebrated his 35th birthday with his “Roswell” tour as MARTERIA in Münster on December 4, 2017. ‘Roswell’ is his fourth album if you disregard the five ones he made as Alter Ego MARSIMOTO. On his “Roswell” tour, the support act is KID SIMIUS, who also collaborated in making some of his songs earlier. As usual on this tour, Marten also brought Marsimoto, his photographer and friend Paul Ripke and three female background singers with him. Everything that was still missing was brought by more than 7,000 fans from Münster: A good atmosphere, party vibes and even something to smoke.

3rd December 2017
OMD & Holygram
“Paul?” – “Yes, Andy?” – “We have a problem! This is a very intelligent audience, and all we have left is Pop and Dance!” Just one example for the jolly banter between Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys, founding members and masterminds of ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK. At the moment they are touring their new album, ‘The Punishment of Luxury’, but as it turns out, the pioneers of romantic Synth Pop are also great comedians and, after all, too old buddies who love some plain ole fun. And not even that some of their old heroes were in the audience could stop them!
