Impericon Impericon Never Say Die Tour: We Came As Romans, Bless The Fall, Stick To Your Guns, For The Fallen Dreams, Obey The Brave, At The Skylines, The Browning, At Dawn We Rage
This year’s edition of Impericon Impericon Never Say Die! Tour takes place at the Paard van Troje in The Hague and as usual, they’ve put together a line-up of hardcore, metal and metalcore. Earlier editions of this tour featured big names such as COMEBACK KID, PARKWAY DRIVE and SUICIDE SILENCE. This year it is up to WE CAME AS ROMANS, BLESS THE FALL, STICK TO YOUR GUNS and five other bands to show the Dutch audience how it’s done. I knew the concert wasn’t sold out, but I was a bit surprised that only the floor level of the hall was moderately filled when I arrived. Then again, the first band started early at 4:30 PM, so perhaps more people will come in during the evening.

18 Summers & Janosch Moldau
When 18 SUMMERS released the latest album, ‘The Magic Circus’, in spring 2012, it was the end of a nearly ten year lasting musical silence. After such a long time I had expected some more enthusiasm about their live shows. But maybe the band had been nearly forgotten and younger people don’t know them anymore? Something like that must have been reason that only a little crowd was attending the show on this Friday evening, being supported by multitalented JANOSCH MOLDAU.

Gotthard & Unisonic
GOTTHARD are kind of Hard Rock legends and also the death of singer Steve Lee two years ago did not change anything. Now, the band is touring again with new singer Nic Maeder and people were eager to see what had changed and what not. As support, Metal-All-Star band UNISONIC was accompanying them on tour.

The Devin Townsend Project & Fear Factory
And again, The Circus - a medium-size venue in the heart of Helsinki - hosts a big project. DEVIN TOWNSEND is a widely known Canadian musician who started to play banjo at the age of 5 and got his first electric guitar at 12. He has a very rich and colourful biography, and had experimented with many styles, from heavy styles to a light ones. Presently he ended up with a band called THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT. The project began in 2008, about the same time Devin cut off his trademark hair and gave up drinking, smoking and using drugs.
