Over the years, it has become almost tradition: Every two years at the Oktoberfest in Munich, VNV NATION can be seen and heard again in the Bavarian metropolis, so also on this autumnal Saturday spoilt by rain. Already days before the tickets became rare and at the end the concert in the Backstage Werk was even sold out.

De/Vision & Tenek

Three years ago we had already the chance to see DE/VISION with TENEK as supporting act in the Matrix Bochum. Thus it was really nice to have the chance to experience this combination again. On the occasion of their anniversary, DE/VISION started the "25 Years Best Of Tour 2013" in this venue. To my own surprise the show was not sold out which was really a pity.

The Matrix Bochum is a discotheque situated in a former brewery. In this building there are several different areas. One of them is “The Tube” where concerts take place. The Matrix offers diverse alternative, gothic, metal and other dark parties as well as lots of concerts. The Tube has a capacity of 900 people. At short notice I was invited by my son to see the concert of ZERAPHINE. As I like their music I took the chance to see them again although I was not really prepared.

The FZW in Dortmund is a kind of recreation centre with a concert hall for 1,200 people, a club room with a capacity of 300 persons and a bar. While the concert hall is for the more bigger and commercial live acts, the club room offers interesting live appearances of bands and musicians that aren’t so well known or just at the beginning of a promising career. Unfortunately on this evening only a few people showed up which was really a pity - not only for the musicians but the people have really missed a lot.
