Großstadtgeflüster
On a Wednesday evening, on 11th February 2009, I took the occasion to enjoy GROSSSTADTGEFLÜSTER a second time at their current tour, this time in Münster. The band comes from Berlin and was formed in 2003 by Jen Bender and Raphael Schalz. Their debut album 'Muss laut sein' (Must be loud) was released in 2006 and included the independence hit 'Ich muss gar nix' which made the band well-known in the German independence scene. The current album called 'Bis einer heult' and was released at 30th May 2008. GROSSSTADTGEFLÜSTER are Jen Bender (vocals), Raphael Schalz (keys) and Chriz Falk (drums). http://www.gsgf.de/ / http://www.myspace.com/grossstadtgefluester

Frozen Plasma
Friday the 13th - which date could be better for a gothic party? On Friday, the 13th February, "The Empire of Darkness" (one of the most legendary parties of the "Ruhrgebiet" - an industrial area in the middle of Germany), celebrated its 9th birthday. Beside some other specials at this night, FROZEN PLASMA performed a special birthday set at midnight and so we went to Bochum to enjoy this show and the party too. At our arriving at the Matrix in Bochum already a lot of people in a long queue were waiting outside the doors.

Corvus Corax
The “Kings of Minstrels” have announced to honour the Aschaffenburg audience with a visit on 11th February. Thus, I went to the picturesque inner city of Aschaffenburg to witness that musical spectacle. In front of the Colos-Saal, a crowd of people stood there waiting for admission which should start at 7.30 pm. Finally, the doors were opened and we were allowed to enter the venue. I noticed again that the Colos-Saal staff is very friendly and professional. Each and every person was welcomed with a smile; there is an almost family atmosphere that I haven´t experienced at other music clubs up to now. Concerning appearance and age, the audience was a variegated one. Firstly, most people went to the bar to have a drink or they inspected the merchandise stood that offered shirts, posters and all that stuff. I found a standing room in the first row´s right corner and so I had the opportunity to have a look at the stage setting that was really opulent and unusual.

The 6th of February 2009
Deathstars with pre act The Other Flesh.
This venue in Linköping was a pretty strange one, I have never seen anything quite like it, and the place in the venue where the concert was going to happen was in the middle of the building surrounded by brick walls and glass. When we talked with Andreas and Ole during the interview before the show they were surprised with how the venue looked like too.

3rd February 2009
The Rasmus, Fräulein Wunder
After I had arrived at the venue, I noticed the tour bus that was standing in front of the Batschkapp surrounded by some curious girls. Though it was very cold outside, there was a pretty long queue that was obviously dominated by young female fans who had waited for hours to get into the hall. With visible impatience, some girls right in front of the queue started to pound on the doors. Finally, the doors were opened at 8pm and I was virtually pushed into the building.
