Darkstorm: Down Below, Emilie Autumn, Suicidal Romance, Corvus Corax, Frozen Plasma, Das Ich, [:SITD:], Project Pitchfork, Suicide Commando, VNV Nation
The Dark Storm Festivals in Chemnitz and Berlin are some kind of tradition for Christmas. Like last year, we made it again to the festival in Chemnitz on 25th December, again with well-known bands of different fields of dark music. Lovers of Electro, Goth and even medieval music have been satisfied during the evening at the Stadthalle, where lots of people had gathered for this event - more than 3,000 to be exact. So, the venue was really packed and granted for a good mood during the evening.

POTHEAD
POTHEAD is a Grunge band from Berlin. The band's name derives from an Anglo-American slang expression to call marijuana consumers. The band was founded in 1993 by the two brothers Brad and Jeff Dope from Seattle. On a vacation in Europe at the beginning of the 1990s they got the idea to try their luck in Germany. So they settled in the German capital Berlin, where they met with some drummers until 1994 Sebastian Meyer joined the band.

Apocalyptica, Larcrimas Profundere
It was a very cold evening but tonight the 013 in Tilburg would be heated up by five men from Finland. With their fierce cello's and thundering drums. The venue was incredibly full. Even the balconies were filled up. If you were too late... all good spots were taken. And I was late, on my way to the concert there had been an accident and thus I had to miss Lacrimas Profundere. That is why there is no extensive report on their performance.

Emilie Autumn & Lucas Lanthier
At a cold evening in Kreuzberg, Berlin, people had gathered to enjoy a concert of the beautiful EMILIE AUTUMN. This audience was open and glamorous for a change - as compared to the K17 audience. But the glamour comes with being among EMILIE AUTUMN fans, of course. A lot of them really made an effort of looking fabulous, in which most indeed succeeded - it must be said, that the most glamorous were generally also the youngest, about 14-17, I would say. Altogether, the audience was very mixed in age and looks, but definitely all Goth. Pretty early the first few meters in front of the stage were already filled with the die-hard fans, who didn’t move away until the end of the concert.

Dark Dance Treffen 24: Gothika; Bloody, Dead & Sexy; Diorama; Funker Vogt
This issue of the Dark Dance Treffen was not only the 24th but also the 7th anniversary of an event that lures people from every direction to Lahr every three months. It was hellish cold at the time we arrived at the venue and we had to wait some time to finally get into the warm again. We took our positions in the first row and waited for the things to come...
