Electric Callboy - “Tekkno Tour ‘23”
One of the most famous German Metal bands at the moment visited Luxembourg on Friday and turned the Rockhal into a party dance floor. The band in question is ELECTRIC CALLBOY. In the last few years, the guys from Castrop-Rauxel have been in the media quite often. Be it drummer David Friedrich winning the Bachelorette and participating in the jungle camp, the departure of former singer Sushi, the unsuccessful Eurovision Song Contest application or the change of their band name. After ten years of band history, the guys from the Ruhr area have managed to get into the front ranks of the German top acts. This was also noticeable on Friday night at the Rockhal, which was very nearly sold out.

Arctic Monkeys - “European Tour 2023”
Sold-out arena, much more girls than boys, huge queues on the merch booths - that were my first impressions from the concert last night in Oberhausen. ARCTIC MONKEYS from Sheffield are among the world’s most successful bands, although they are constantly repositioning themselves stylistically. Countless prestigious prizes - including seven BRIT Awards, 20 NME Awards, a Mercury Prize and an Igor Novello Award as well as five Grammy nominations - testify to the quality of their songwriting, which is always shaped differently by the band, but always remains constant. On top of that, the ARCTIC MONKEYS are among the best and highest quality live bands in Indie Rock, which is why the joy about their upcoming world tour for the current, seventh album ‘The Car’ is correspondingly great. Within this framework, the ARCTIC MONKEYS were playing a handful of concerts in Germany.

Carpe Noctum with The Webb plus special guests Digital Harpy and The Scarlet Hour
Carpe Noctum is described as the premiere alternative night in the North. It runs once a month at the Lending Room in Leeds. Originally established in Bradford at the One in Twelve club, Carpe Noctum (meaning “Seize the night” in Latin) hosts some of the UK’s finest alternative bands, followed by a DJ until the early hours. The venue is situated in the heart of student land. Downstairs from the Lending Room is the Library Pub - part of the infamous Otley Run beer crawl. On any Saturday night, its clientele would not look out of place in the Mos Eisley cantina in Star Wars. Part of the ritual of the Otley Run, is to wear fancy dress costumes… or a onesie. On any given Saturday evening, it’s common to witness Superman being propped up by a Smurf and Elvis.

Sabaton - “The Tour To End All Tours” - Support: Lordi, Babymetal
On Tuesday, the time had finally come. The Swedes from SABATON performed in an almost sold-out Rockhal. The “The Tour to End All Tours”, like many other tours, had to be postponed due to the pandemic, so the audience was very happy after a year or so. The band included the most famous monsters of our time, LORDI from Finland and the Japanese kawaii metal band BABYMETAL.

Skillet - “Day Of Destiny” Tour
SKILLET returned to the Rockhal: one of the best-selling Rock bands of the 21st century continues to rebel against conventions, doubts, expectations, and rules with the intention of rising in the light. The show on Wednesday brought them back to the Grand-Duchy - where they already heated up the Rockhal before the Pandemic in 2019.
