Solar Fake - “You Win. Who Cares?” Tour 2019 - Support: Seadrake
Saturday night and Hamburg was setting up for another tour finale. After being on tour for over a month, SOLAR FAKE’s last gig for the current “You Win. Who Cares?” tour was about to happen tonight. Six out of ten gigs of the tour have been sold-out - which is a huge success in the band’s round-about ten years of history.

Beast In Black - “From Hell With Love” Tour - Support: Turmion Kätilöt
Munich on a Friday night - a sold-out Backstage, I had braced myself for the worst, but everything went really smooth. Nearly three months ago I saw BEAST IN BLACK live for the first time, as support for NIGHTWISH in Helsinki; when they announced they would do their first headliner tour in 2019 I got really excited and as soon as they announced the tour-data, I got my ticket.

Sonata Arctica - “Acoustic Adventures”
SONATA ARCTICA is a “very Finnish” Metal band from a small town next to Polar circle, Kemi. Their trademarks are Melodic Power Metal (albeit the band does not like this “genre label”), deeply emotional ballads and complete negligence to standard all-black outfits by the front man Toni Kakko, who usually is dressed up more like a country singer. Thanks to solid composing skills and great melodies, the band has a strong worldwide following.

BASTILLE in Luxembourg? Yes, that attracts people! The British were in the Grand Duchy on Friday for the fourth time and made a lasting impression like back in 2017. As support for their “Still Avoiding Tomorrow” Tour the British brought along the likeable newcomer LEWIS CAPALDI, who is currently attracting attention with the single ‘Someone you loved’.

Godsmack - “When Legends Rise” European Tour 2018 - Special Guests: Like A Storm
Finally, after a delay of almost four months, the Bostonian heavyweights of the Alternative Metal scene, GODSMACK, were coming to town for their tour promoting their latest album, ‘When legends rise’. Their original tour dates in November had to be cancelled because the bands’ guitarist Tony Rombola was hit with a personal tragedy. However, GODSMACK’s management was able to reschedule the tour dates pretty quickly and to even squeeze in an extra show in Cologne (which also sold out in a heartbeat), so the local fans were more than compensated for their wait time.
