Joachim Witt - “Der Fels in der Brandung” Tour 2024
Just in time for the sold-out start of his exclusive club tour 2023 and the album release of ‘Der Fels in der Brandung’ on September 15th, 2023, JOACHIM WITT is announcing his tour of the same name. The exceptional artist will play for his fans on stages in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2024.
As fans emphasise, he is “unique, very special”. JOACHIM WITT has reinvented himself many times and has always kept his finger on the pulse of German music history. All this speaks in favour of the man who only needed a single song in 1981 to take a firm place in the annals of German Pop music: ‘ Der Goldene Reiter’ climbed to the top of the charts in the updraft of Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW) and has lost none of its impact to this day.
JOACHIM WITT is a shining light of the German cultural scene. The successful musician has been on stage for over 40 years. During these decades, he has demonstrated enormous versatility. He has released seventeen albums since 1980, with two signature songs - namely ‘Tri Tra Trullala (Herbergsvater)’ and ‘Die Flut’, the latter a duet with Peter Heppner (ex-WOLFSHEIM) - characterising Witt’s public image. After various top ten chart successes, gold and platinum awards (‘Die Flut’ alone sold more than 900,000 units) and over forty million streams, JOACHIM WITT is now opening another new chapter in his career.
With his new album ‘Der Fels in der Brandung’, he will once again surprise his listeners on many levels. In close collaboration with Flensburg Gold producer Hardy Krech (Elephant Music), Witt has once again created a completely new and unique sound that impressively interweaves his strengths and messages with electronic sounds and guitar melodies. “My new album is very close to my heart. It is a journey through emotions, experiences and stories that I have collected over the last few years. Together with my band, I will rock the stage and present the songs from the new album as well as my classics. It will be an unforgettable musical journey and I can’t wait to see you all again and celebrate with you,” says JOACHIM WITT.
Following the release of ‘Der Fels in der Brandung’, JOACHIM WITT is returning to the stages of Germany with his full band line-up. As part of his tour, he will once again be presenting the enormous range of his work.
