THE 69 EYES are Finland's finest Vampire Goth rock group around and have gratefully returned to the U.S. to embarked on their latest tour in help with promoting their ninth album to date ‘Back in Blood’. Aside from this being their ninth album to date, THE 69 EYES have been around for some time getting their legion of fans from around the globe, and what's a better way than to celebrate with returning back to what they consider their second home, Hollywood, California!

Cassandra Steen, Fetsum
The concert evening started in a relaxed way. I expected to be faced with a huge crowd in front of the Colos-Saal, but it wasn’t like that. After the admission had been proceeded, I entered the small hall and found a standing place in the first row. Firstly, it was pretty empty, but then the attendees gradually arrived. It was striking of what different ages the listeners were. I noticed children and pensioners as well as young couples and teenagers. Shortly before the appearance of support act FETSUM should begin, the venue had been well-filled but not overcrowded.

Synthember Wave with Perfidious Words, T.O.Y., De/Vision
Synthember Wave attracted my attention because it was a chance to see live performances of three different synth pop bands and I thought a real fan of electronic music would not miss such an opportunity. That’s why it was a bit surprisingly for me not to notice a queue on the way to “Tochka”. But if in at 7p.m. the club was almost empty, in an hour the quantity of people grew significantly and the crowd outside almost doubled (as I was told by a friend who came much later).

Zoot Woman, Station 17
On the occasion of our 11th international “Grenzenlos Kultur” theatre festival in Mainz (which took place from September 10th to September 26th), the popular British synth pop / electroclash band ZOOT WOMAN was supposed to perform in our local cultural centre, alongside German experimental band STATION 17. This show also happened to be the German kickoff show of ZOOT WOMAN’s fall promo tour in support of their new third album ‘Things Are What They Used To Be’. However, unlike the other shows on the European tour, and since it was a special performance at a festival, ZOOT WOMAN did not bring along SCARLET SOHO as support act this time. The decision to attend this show was made rather spontaneous but since I live really close to Mainz, I arrived at the venue very early, just to see only a handful of people standing and sitting there apart from me and my friend. But this gaping void should change as soon as STATION 17 hit the stage just in time at 8 PM.

Magnum & Soley Mourning
The outlook of an evening with the Hard Rock veterans of MAGNUM lured quite a few people out to the Zeche in Bochum on this freezing cold and rainy Monday evening. We were following the call as well and were already very curious…
