Album Review

This MCD is presented to be a foretaste to the upcoming equally named full-length album ‘Eiszeit’. This single release features next to the title song also a non album tack, ‘Segne Deinen Schmerz’, remixed by [:SITD:]. This remixed version is only available on this CD. For fans that might be reason enough to buy this forerunner. It’s one of the rare songs which sound very electronically. The way of singing stays continuous - continuously EISBRECHER. You know, it’s like listening to a monologue underlined with rhythmical melodies. It’s not the first time, [:SITD:] remixed one of their songs. There were songs in the past - called ‘Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein’ and ‘This is Deutsch’ - which have been remixed by them very successfully.

The single ‘Eiszeit’ itself takes the interest of the listener and makes curious on the soon obtainable long player. After a long and cold winter period I saw the first shafts of sunlight. But the human coldness remains constantly. And the desire for warmth and sympathy also seems to stay part of human beings. And this is especially what the song is about. Because of the fact that we only got one song from the upcoming album, this MCD not provides the opportunity to get an idea of what we can expect. I’m still curious!
